J’aime comment les bourrelets dans ton dos ressemblent à des vagues qui s’écrasent sur la berge quand tu t’étires en te réveillant le matin.
Quand j’ai montré qui j’étais, de façon authentique, à ma mère pour la toute première fois, elle ne savait pas trop comment digérer la nouvelle. J’avais toujours utilisé mes vêtements et mes cheveux pour m’exprimer. Mes sœurs me peignaient les ongles et ma mère me laissait choisir la teinture capillaire temporaire que je voulais au Walmart.
