This plan encompasses essential elements, such as major gifts, annual giving and corporate sponsorships, foundation and government grants, in-kind support and planned giving.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Fundraising and Community Outreach Officer will be a key contributor to the organization\u2019s development and implementation of corporate communications and media relations strategies, positioning IGBCas Canada\u2019s leading organization for 2SLGBTQ+ youth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Duties<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop and implement effective strategies to nurture and sustain long-term donor relationships<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Undertake prospect research to identify new potential funders through various sources<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Write and edit engaging copy for a wide range of communication channels and products, including web, digital advertising, social media, traditional media, and more.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support the development and execution of media relations, fundraising, and corporate communications strategies.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lead the execution of communications and fundraising campaigns (i,e., coordinate with creative, marketing, and media agencies, manage relationships with influencers and other talent, create work back schedules, ensure consistency in messaging across channels by working internally with the Communications team and other departments, etc.).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support with the development, writing and design of pitch decks and funding proposals, including grant writing.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guide and manage external vendors and agencies to ensure that projects are in alignment with IGBC\u2019s brand strategy and business objectives.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work closely with others on the Communications team to research, manage and create content for IGBC\u2019s digital platforms including:<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Newsletters\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Website content and blog posts\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IGBC public corporate communications and op-eds<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social media content for campaigns and significant posts\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other digital assets and collateral, such as\u00a0 posters, postcards, etc.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Draft content and corporate communications (e.g.,. press releases) for mass media or website<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc. (including writing talking points for internal spokespeople)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foster relationships with community advocates, organizations, donors, partners, and other key persons or entities<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support the Executive Director with crisis communications<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grow cause-related marketing partnerships to complement annual campaigns<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Research and assess funding opportunities, e.g., grants, partnerships, foundations, etc.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Update all relevant information into the CRM database for comprehensive and accurate reporting, creating proposals, as well as tracking prospect and funding leads<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support consulting projects including research, document preparation, and client support<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regularly evaluate programs &amp;
