Reporting directly to the Executive Director, with support from the Treasurer of the Board of Directors, the Finance and Administration\u00a0 Officer will provide crucial support for both financial and administrative functions at It Gets Better Canada.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p><p><b>Financial Management:<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintain books of account, including accounts receivable and payable, in compliance with reporting requirements of funders and tax authorities<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Process payroll (including group health plan), invoices and expenses<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With Executive Director oversight, create and manage budgets and monitor expenditures<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Verify eligibility for, issue, and keep detailed records of, all charitable receipts when required<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure proper tracking of expenditures against funding program budgets (cost reports)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare financial reports and forecasts<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reconcile style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts on the\u00a0<\/span>organization\u2019s books of account (e.g. changes through CRA)<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assist with audit process, including preparation of year-end working papers<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b>Administration:<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage staff vacation and holiday
